The Right Bed Sheets For Your Child

From birth to adolescence, children do not have the same needs in terms of bed linen. You will not need to buy a duvet cover for babies, you will reserve the complete sets for the older ones. But bed linen also has a decorative function, and you will know through this article how to bring aesthetics to the children's room, and make bedtime a happy moment.

 

For babies


For safety reasons, the bed linen for little ones is quite limited: a fitted sheet to protect the mattress, and a rOmer bag up to the age of 2 years old. It is necessary to privilege the bed linen which is easy to maintain, they indeed tend to wet their bed or regurgitate. Keep it simple and practical.

From 3 to 6 years old



Nights are quite restless for young children and they sweat a lot, which is why it is not necessary to add a flat sheet to the classic fitted sheet and duvet cover duo. For the latter, you will choose a size adapted to that of their mattress, and breathable and absorbent materials such as cotton or bamboo.

Children spend a lot of time in bed, and not just sleeping. They play, they sometimes have a snack there and the duvet cover will also protect the bedding accessory against stains. And, as with babies, you shoule opt for machine-washable linen.

 

From 6 years old



From the age of 6, you can equip the children's beds with complete sets. They will now enjoy sleeping with a flat sheet. Well lined, the latter brings a little more warmth and gives an additional cocooning feeling that reassures our little ones.
