Epitex VioGuard: Linens that kill COVID19•
Posted on August 18 2020
Since the end of Circuit Breaker, we have been through a sequel of measures that reshaped our daily lives. From social distancing to regular hand sanitising, we are constantly joining efforts to inhibit the virus actively and stay safe. At Epitex, we found a way to take our fight to the next step without changing our habits.
Do you remember hiding under the sheets, as a child, believing that they will protect you against monsters? Well, your vivid imagination has been put into reality!
We created a new range of bed linens and bath towels endowed with a special treatment that kills our modern-day monster: SARS-CoV-2. It’s a revolutionary Swiss certified technology, invented by the high-performance textile company: HeiQ.
Here’s how it works:
Effective in minutes
As you may already know, viruses and bacteria spread easily and can remain active on fabrics for months. Upon contact, VioGuard products will inhibit viruses and kill bacteria. They will also help minimise the transmission of pathogens from textiles. The treatment has been tested effective 99.99% in only 30 minutes against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID 19). Similar results were encountered against other viruses such as H5N1 (avian flu) and H1N1 (swine flu).
Safe to use
Our VioGuard range is completely skin-safe. Once added to a fabric, the treatment renders the surface completely hypoallergenic, germ resistant and self-sanitising. EU REACH and US FIFRA compliant, this technology is guaranteed to provide ultimate protection while being completely free of harmful chemicals. Also, like all our our products, it is Oeko-Tex® certified.
Don’t worry, our VioGuard products are not disposable, they will stay effective even after long term use. The treatment is guaranteed to last at least 30 gentle washes at 40°C. You might wonder if it will affect the hand feel of the fabric. Absolutely not, you will still be able to enjoy the softness our bed sheets for a peaceful and now, safe sleep!
